Mother Seton School, sponsored by the Daughters of Charity, has the proud distinction of being the first parochial school established in the United States by St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, in 1810.

The facility is nestled on a 14 acre campus and is home to a quality Catholic education (Pre-Kindergarten through 8th grade) including a Spanish Language Program, community service, and a strong sense of spirituality reflected in our school liturgies and prayer partner activities. Founded in 1829, Saint John’s Catholic Prep is a Catholic, coeducational, college preparatory high school dedicated to the development and education of the total student. St. Mary School, established in 1874 by the School Sisters of Notre Dame, is Catholic education in the finest tradition. Today it is one of 89 schools in the Archdiocese of Baltimore and has an enrollment of 299 students.

The only Catholic K-8 school in Washington County, St. Mary School is sponsored by St. Mary Parish and is an integral part of the parish. Both St. Mary Church and St. Mary School lie in downtown Hagerstown in the heart of the Cumberland Valley of western Maryland.
