Youth Ministry "Jump Start" a great boost for volunteers

48 volunteers from St. Ignatius, Urbana, St. John the Evangelist, Frederick, and St. Peter, Libertytown gathered for prayer and song, inspiration, and workshops at St. Peter's on Sunday, October 15, 2000. The evening was a huge success. CLICK ON ANY THUMBNAIL FOR THE LARGER PHOTO

	Participants gathered for song and reflection during the opening session.		Rev. Wayne Funk offered a reflection on our call to discipleship	Patrick Sprankle led a session on effective techniques with teens
	Mary Nelabovige offered insights on the Church's comprehensive approach to human sexuality.	At the conclusion of the evening, volunteers were blessed and sent forth for ministry

The Catholic Education Ministries Center of Central Maryland provides ongoing support to the Catechetical Ministries of Carroll, Frederick, and Washington Counties. This includes training programs for leaders and volunteers in parishes and schools, plus consultation in all areas of catechesis.
