Virtual Learning Community for Faith Formation (VLCFF)

With a new cycle of classes beginning this Summer, 2003, here is a great opportunity for online faith formation, available in the Archdiocese of Baltimore!  And because of our partnership with University of Dayton, we are able to take advantage of significantly lower class fees.

Organized and operated by the Institute of Pastoral Initiatives of the University of Dayton (Ohio), the Virtual Learning Community for Faith Formation (VLCFF) is a growing initiative to offer adult religious education and faith formation anytime and anywhere via the internet. The goal is to support the church's professional ministry of religious education and faith formation in cyberspace.

IPI’s Virtual Learning Community for Faith Formation has 21 partner dioceses, one of which is the Archdiocese of Baltimore, and offers 16 noncredit courses six times a year, with about 1,000 students enrolled each year. Courses include Catholic Beliefs, Church History, Evangelization and Sacraments. Fourteen new courses and four seminars are presently in development.

Participants need a computer, Internet connection and email to study topics in church history, sacraments, ecclesiology, evangelization and Scripture.  Courses are open to all.  Cost is $40 for members of partner dioceses and $75 for those outside the network.
