Tom Hild is the new Pastoral Associate for Youth Ministries at St. Joseph Catholic Community in Eldersburg, working to empower and coordinate ministries for all of youth in 6-12 grades, and their families. This includes; Confirmation Prep, Religious Education, Youth Groups, Justice & Service, Music & Drama Ministries, Retreats and many special events. The parish youth ministry program also includes the formation and development of adults, young adults and youth leaders as well as the leadership teams they serve in.

Tom and his wife Julie, along with their children, Anna and Thomas, are long-time active parishioners at St. Joseph. With a Masters Degree in Pastoral Studies from Washington Theological Union, and fifteen years in professional parish ministry, Tom has been able to serve in Youth Ministries, K-12 Grade Religious Education, Pastoral Planning, Small Christian Communities, RCIA, Justice & Service, Young Adult Ministries, Diversity Planning, Leadership Development, and on a variety of Archdiocesan and regional leadership teams.

Tom Hild also founded and serves as Director for a nationally respected Catholic Service Camp, Encounter the Gospel of Life.

The Catholic Education Ministries Center of Central Maryland provides ongoing support to the Catechetical Ministries of Carroll, Frederick, and Washington Counties. This includes training programs for leaders and volunteers in parishes and schools, plus consultation in all areas of catechesis.
